Are you an agentsomniac?
ag·ent·som·ni·ac /ˌeɪ.dʒənt.ˈsɒm.ni.æk/ noun
An agentsomniac is a person who constantly explores, experiments with, and envisions a world powered by autonomous AI agents that collaborate, learn, and act independently.
The mindset
Most people see AI as a tool you pick up and put down. Agentsomniacs see something bigger: networks of autonomous agents that plan, negotiate, build, and improve on their own, working alongside people and with each other.
So they tinker. They wire agents together, give them goals, watch what emerges, and rebuild. Their head is always half in the next experiment, already sketching what happens when a thousand agents cooperate instead of one.
You might be an agentsomniac if…
- Your first idea for any problem is "what if an agent handled this end to end?"
- You've built more agents than you've finished side projects, and you count that as progress.
- You get excited when two agents solve something neither was told how to solve.
- You keep a running list of workflows that should run themselves.
- You think about agents that learn from each other, not just from you.
- You picture companies, markets, and communities where agents act independently and humans set the direction.
- You're already experimenting with what most people will only hear about next year.
Why it matters
Every big shift has people who live in it early. Autonomous agents are that shift now, and agentsomniacs are the explorers mapping it: testing what works, sharing what breaks, and imagining what comes next.
